The Alumni Association (Toronto Chapter) came into being in 1990 in response to the need
for Tutorialites in and around Toronto to get together primarily for the purpose of hosting the 1993
High School Reunion in our city.
Our founding members were Llewie Armstrong, Linda Abrahams, Lollette Caesar, Cedric Licorish, Muti Mabayeke,
Joan McLean, George McLean, Aubrey Neil, Al Rodwell-Simon and the late Edward Rogers. Our goal as an
organization is to help, as far as possible, to keep alive the name and tradition of our Alma Mater.
Alumni was founded in 1939 by the non-commercial minded Austin Cosmo Castello (Tookie), a seasoned educator
and visionary who was acutely aware of the need for a more accessible means of providing secondary education
to the children of poorer families.
